Cucumber sandwiches, fancy cookies, raspberry tea.
Sounds like a ladies tea party to me!
Some ladies wore hats, some didn't but we were all dressed up at the second annual Ladies Tea at church.
Table decorations were supposed to remind us of childhood.
Kayla and I decorated a table. She had the idea to use the ABC blocks to spell "ladies tea."
We also used Beatrix Potter books and a few stuffed animals.
Can you see some of the tiny tea set pieces behind the tea pot?
We put little flowers in those.
Granny got to come!

What a cute table you set. good block idea. kayla! I appreciated your post before on the homeschooling doubts. They come often don't they? That's when we remember we're not doing it on our own. It's a calling. And then the moments come, as you expressed, when you are so glad you're doing it!
Great fun! Ladies, tea, dessert, and fellowship sound like a great time to me. And, the tables - wonderful ideas for decorations. Beatrix Potter is a favorite of ours. Well, until Peter Rabbit showed up in our lettuce recently. Alas, we still can't help but love Potter's stories :-)
