Some Important Firsts

We have been so thankful for our time here at Berry Ridge Road in "Miss Jill's" house. We've had great neighbors, it's been quiet, it's been a wonderful place for the kids to get out and play... I realized that we have had many important firsts here in the past 8 or 9 months. While the majority of them are experienced by most children, they are still near and dear to my heart. Let's see how many I can recount...

Samuel learned to crawl. He took his first steps here. Jack learned to read. Kayla learned to write her name. Samuel said,"mamamamama." Kayla got her first "real" haircut in a "barber shop" as she says. Jack learned to ride his bike without training wheels. Kayla learned to ride a "big" bike. Samuel rode on the back of Daddy's bike. Samuel had his first birthday. Jack got his first loose tooth. Kayla took her first class-ballet. Jack played on his first soccer team. Kayla and Jack truly discovered the joys of digging in the yard (oops!) and wearing out the knees in their jeans. Jack decided to pet a big dog-this was a big deal! Kayla began memorizing the Children's Catechism. Samuel learned to wave and clap his hands.

I'm sure there are others. And maybe other important things that aren't firsts but that still help to make the days special and new.
